Many companies will not only match the donations of their current employees, but some will match the donations of their spouses and retirees.

The money donated to End Hunger In Calvert County stays right here in our community supporting the following End Hunger Programs:

  • The End Hunger Job Training Programs are designed to teach unemployed or underemployed Southern Maryland residents the skills needed to land a career in the hospitality industry. Both programs are provided completely FREE to students – including textbook, supplies, and uniform. All End Hunger graduates are National Restaurant ServSafe Certified and receive FREE job placement assistance. 70% of our graduates are now working full time.
    • Culinary Training: an eight-week program that teaches students the skills necessary to run and operate a commercial kitchen at the manager level.
    • Cafe Management: a five-week program that teaches students the skills necessary for working in a coffee shop or cafe as a barista at the manager level.
  • The End Hunger Warehouse serves 44 partner feeding organizations in Calvert County. These include every food pantry in Calvert County, HeartFELT backpack programs, and mobile food distribution sites. Together, we serve nearly 1 million pounds of food and feed 15,000 people every year.
  • Calvert Cash is a FREE tax preparation program for low income families. In addition to tax support, End Hunger works with individuals to help them rebuild their finances and provide them with a Second Chance Checking account from PNC Bank. This program serves over 200 families a year.

By simply filling out a form from your employer, you donation could be doubled or even tripled!
