North Beach, MD: End Hunger In Calvert County (EHCC) is hosting its 12th annual Dragon Boat Festival to raise money and awareness for people facing food insecurity in the Southern Maryland region. This event is in partnership with Exelon Corporation. Other sponsors include Chick-Fil-A Prince Frederick, National Ink and Stitch, Chaney Enterprises, and Steve Brien of Hometown Realty.

The Dragon Boat Festival is a community event. Families of all ages are invited to attend. Located on the beautiful North Beach boardwalk, this festival has become a Southern Maryland staple event. The day will kick off with the Dotting of the Eye Ceremony at 8am and a live demonstration from Calvert MMA. There will be local food and craft vendors, free face painting along the boardwalk and a live DJ by Crow Entertainment happening throughout the day. There is something fun for everyone to enjoy while cheering on their favorite Dragon Boat team.
Team races take place all day leading to an award ceremony where different trophies are presented. One of the trophies is the #GiveWhereYouLive Award for the team who fundraises the most money to support the mission of EHCC. This is one of EHCC’s biggest fundraisers of the year. The money raised during this event goes directly towards supporting the mission of EHCC and caring for families in Southern Maryland.
